Mystic House

Hi Craft Peeps !

I am so excited to be writing this post for one of my favorite and such an inspiring "Mixed Media & Art" blog . They have a beautiful and mysterious theme for the month of March. Below is their inspiration picture

All the elements are so intriguing and made me jump to create something spectacular. I was taken away with the green , the charms and wooden textures. Based on this, I created a mystic house.

I started with wooden crates, topped them on one another and then added the wooden house. All the wooden pieces were then given a generous coating of Finnabair Rust and Patina pastes. The texture on the roof of the house was created with cork sheet and rust pastes.

I also added some textures on the side with Finnabair's sand paste. The embellishments were made with prima mould and clay, painted with gesso, patina paste and bronze acrylic paint.

I wanted to use some charms taking inspiration from the photo by Mixed media & Art blog , so  added this bulb and filled it with sequins from Dress My Craft.

A vintage clock was also my idea of using charms in the project. Lots of moss and moss powder for the green effect ! Finnabair's art stones and micro pearls from Dress My Craft added lot of texture and depth to my creation.

I have used wooden discs of various sizes at the bottom crate and covered them randomly with moss powder. The falling stones effect was achieved with natural cocoons from Dress My Craft and Finnabair's waxes.

And here is the complete look of my project. I liked how it turned out  !

I am entering this to Mixed Media And Art March challenge.
