Explosion box - Mintay Papers and Dress My Craft Sequins

Hi Creative Peeps !

I have always loved making explosion boxes , coming up with new 3D center pieces is one of my favorite hobby :P . Starting from a couple, bouquet, hot air balloon, 3D hearts, cupcake, engagement ring box, baby shoes, baby cot and what not, I have tried them all !

My new acquisition and newly found love-  Mintay Papers have woven magic into this explosion box and I have used it extensively with Dress My Craft sequins and mini pearls with a mixed media look. The box is a customized order that I made as a birthday gift for a teacher, so you can spot some beautiful birthday embellishments going with pink-mint theme.

Feast your eyes on these beautiful pictures that still have not done justice to how charming the creation was in real !

Mystic House

Hi Craft Peeps !

I am so excited to be writing this post for one of my favorite and such an inspiring "Mixed Media & Art" blog . They have a beautiful and mysterious theme for the month of March. Below is their inspiration picture

All the elements are so intriguing and made me jump to create something spectacular. I was taken away with the green , the charms and wooden textures. Based on this, I created a mystic house.

I started with wooden crates, topped them on one another and then added the wooden house. All the wooden pieces were then given a generous coating of Finnabair Rust and Patina pastes. The texture on the roof of the house was created with cork sheet and rust pastes.

I also added some textures on the side with Finnabair's sand paste. The embellishments were made with prima mould and clay, painted with gesso, patina paste and bronze acrylic paint.

I wanted to use some charms taking inspiration from the photo by Mixed media & Art blog , so  added this bulb and filled it with sequins from Dress My Craft.

A vintage clock was also my idea of using charms in the project. Lots of moss and moss powder for the green effect ! Finnabair's art stones and micro pearls from Dress My Craft added lot of texture and depth to my creation.

I have used wooden discs of various sizes at the bottom crate and covered them randomly with moss powder. The falling stones effect was achieved with natural cocoons from Dress My Craft and Finnabair's waxes.

And here is the complete look of my project. I liked how it turned out  !

I am entering this to Mixed Media And Art March challenge.

Accordion book + Trinkets

Hey Friends !

This post goes after a very long break. I am resuming blogging after giving birth to my baby who is just going to turn one year this month. It brings back a lot of memories while I used to blog, and of course it was so much fun sharing and learning with a whole bunch of creative people out there.

Well, this is going to continue now and I would be posting my new creations, tutorials, hauls and much more ! Coming to my current creation, I have made this accordion book for a mom-to-be, it is to be used as a baby visitor's book wherein the friends and relatives can shower their blessings and bless the lil' one !

I have used Prima Heaven Sent collection and cutest trinkets from The Golden Trinket , check out their awesome collection of trinkets, metal charms , stones, pearls and much more. The shop owner Rukmini is a wonderful girl , she would help you out with any queries.

Check out some of the pictures of my creation below and leave some love !

The cameos, cameo jacket, resin flowers are from her shop.  There are pull out tags that give enough space for writing or for sticking some pictures.

That's how the accordion looks, isn't it beautiful ? !

You can check out all my latest creations on my facebook page here .

Happy Crafting !

A set !

Hi peeps,

We are having a challenge this month at Itsy Bitsy and Crafters Corner which is to "create a set". I wanted to do it differently and so created this beautiful photo frame along with a co-ordinating tag. I have given a very shabby chic feel to it..and love the way it has turned out.

The frame has a lot of details and different elements. Here I go with the pics

No amount of pictures and editing can do justice to the real beauty of this frame ! The tag looks cute and complements the frame well.

Just a few close ups of the different elements

The butterfly with the wings is handmade . Pretty chipboard border from Itsy Bitsy

The red black tile embellishment in the above pic is handmade. Some "karigari" on the Tim holtz clock stamp !

A mix of flowers from Itsy Bitsy and Crafters Corner

Pretty Mulberry flowers and fillers from crafters corner
A complete view of the frame

                                                            Once again, "The Set"

Hope you like it !

I am entering this to

The Big 'B' Challenge

Hi ,

I am just not getting back at card making, there is so much more to do than just cards :) And I am totally loving it. Well ,mini albums have always been my fav but this is something I have tried for the first time. It's a wall hanging and came out to be really pretty.

The flower is handmade. There is a lot of Bling , studs, glitter, die cuts, epoxy stickers ,ribbon, flowers, buttons, bows, chipboard . Lots of detailing, and if not too good with pics, it is far better than what I used to click !

There are pearl beads, butterfly, die cut Eiffel tower.

Did you notice the chipboard border?

The ribbon for hanging has some beads too :)

I reserved the complete (and not so nicely clicked) pic for the end, and of course it flaunts three cute little bows.

And the supply list
MDF Wall hanging is from Kaisercraft - purchased from Itsy Bitsy
Chipboard letters from Itsy Bitsy
Glitter Flutter Vintage Butterfly from Itsy Bitsy Boutique elements (I am so much in love with their   boutique elements )
